INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING AUDIO CLIPS:
1) Audio recordings should be on CD or DAT for the best internet quality. DAT recordings should be at 44.1 kHz, not 48kHz. Regular audio cassettes will be accepted but it will greatly reduce the quality of the web audio clip. (This is due to internet reasons.)
2) All audio samples will be (approximately) no longer than 20 seconds (500k). This is due to web site limitations and download times.
3) Describe the audio portion that you would like to use as precisely as possible in a short note.
4) All recordings to be shipped or mailed to the Local must be in some type of protective packaging. (ie.: padded envelopes, bubble wrapping, etc.)
5) All recordings received will be handled as carefully as possible with the intention of being returned to you. But the Local will NOT be responsible for your recordings. (Hint: DO NOT send your master recordings.)
6) If you would like your recordings returned, we will need to know whether you would like the package mailed or whether you will be picking up the package from the office. You will be responsible for any postal costs incurred.
If you have any administrative questions regarding audio clips, please contact the office of Local 40-543. If you have any questions regarding audio or internet details, please contact our webmaster.
